Airlines reinstate flights in Greece after air traffic controllers strike is called off

Flights that were to be cancelled on Sunday and Monday in Greece have been reinstated by airlines, following the decision of Greek air traffic controllers to not to proceed with its planned strike action.

Most of the scheduled flights on Sunday (October 9) will be executed by AEGEAN and Olympic Air while all flights will proceed as planned on Monday (October 10).

New flights have been announced for Sunday by Sky Express and all flights by Ryanair to and within Greece have been reinstated.

Airlines were forced to cancel a number of international and domestic flights causing the intense protest of the Greek tourism sector after air traffic controllers on Thursday announced the launch of four 24-hour rolling strikes as of Sunday.

Passengers are advised to seek further information from the airlines regarding their flights.
