18 killed and 27 hurt, after PKK car bomb attack on police in Turkey

PKK reportedly attacked a police station with a bomb laden vehicle in the Semdinli district on Sunday.

The explosion occurred during an ID check in front of the police station, reported Dogan News Agency.

According to Turkish media, at least 18 soldiers were killed and 27 injured, with civilians among the casualties.

Ambulances were dispatched to the police station, located 20km from Semdinli district centre.

Semdinli is a mountainous area near the Iraq and Iran border within Hakkari province, southeast Turkey, where PKK terrorists are most active, according to Daily Sabah.
