Cairo-bound plane makes emergency landing at Larnaca in Cyprus

SigmaLive has learnt that a private aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Larnaca International Airport this morning.

According to initial information from SigmaLive, the aircraft departed from Sudan and was heading for Cairo, Egypt when it encountered an issue with its plumbing mid-flight, prompting the emergency landing.

SigmaLive also learnt that the technical issue was not considered to be serious enough to threaten the people aboard the plane.

The aircraft is expected to depart for its final destination today once the problem has been fixed and all necessary safety checks have been completed.
