Aegean Airlines is the second most popular airline in the world for 2018, according to a survey conducted in November 2017 by the airline booking platform, eDreams, based on 60,000 passenger reviews.
Turkish Airlines ranked first and Swiss third.
Turkish Airlines rose 6 places in one year, while Aegean Airlines is the only airline among the top-3 since last year.
From 2014, Aegean uses new flight planning software, which has led to a significant improvement in the use of aircraft and has reduced its CO2 emissions by about 800 tonnes per month.
In addition to this software, investments were made in lighter and more ergonomic seats, which, along with other measures, will reduce CO2 emissions by 515 tonnes per month.
