Aegean Airlines announces pre-agreement with Airbus for up to 42 new aircraft

Greece’s Aegean Airlines on Wednesday announced a pre-agreement with Airbus for the purchase of up to 42 A320neo passenger aircraft.

The preliminary deal calls for an initial order of 30 aircraft, both Α320neo και A321neo, with an option for another 12. The minimum order is for 10 Α321neo, with an option to buy more aircraft, and specifically the A321neo models.  

The total deal could reach five billion USD, and is the largest private investment in recent years in Greece, according to the high-flying Greece-based carrier. 

Signing of a final contract is expected for June 2018.
