A new route to Athens was announced this summer by Wizz Air, a low-cost airline, after the launch of a fifth Airbus aircraft this Sunday at Luton Airport.
The carrier also introduced a new flight to Keflavik.
The new Airbus A320 contributed to a 23% increase in airline operations compared to last year with more than 7.4 million airseats for sale in 2018 on 47 routes from Luton Airport.
Flights to Athens will be daily at a cost starting from £ 45.99.
The company is the second largest carrier at Luton Airport and during the last 12 months, has carried 5.3 million passengers, 10% more than the previous 12 months .
