Passenger traffic in Greek airports increased by 5.3 percent during the first half of 2019 (the period between January and June), it was made public on Wednesday, according to ANA.
A total number of 25,531,312 passengers was recorded during the first half of this year, compared to 24,238,614 who passed through Greek airports in the corresponding period last year.
According to Greece’s Civil Aviation Authority, the number of flights amounted to 221,538 in the period from January-June 2019, of which 96,664 were domestic and 124,874 international. This represents a sharp increase of 5.6 percent over the same period last year.
