Tornos News | Cirium: Flights to Greece take off in 2025

More flights than last year are scheduled for 2025 for 8 major Greek airports. This is according to data obtained exclusively by Tornos News from the aviation analysis company Cirium.
Specifically, direct flights from abroad to 8 major airports in Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu, Kos, Mykonos, Santorini) show an increase of 6.7% compared to 2024 and stand at 242,349 from 227,004 last year. In total, 15,345 new flights have been added to these airports.

Specifically, according to the data so far:

At Athens airport, direct scheduled flights for 2025 reach 128,249, showing an increase of 7.7% compared to 2024, i.e. 9,200 new ones will be offered
At Thessaloniki airport, 27,501 flights will be offered, an increase of 2,100 from last year, at Heraklion airport 25,887, of which 1,057 are new
At Rhodes Airport 19,336 flights, i.e. 1,570 more
At Corfu airport 14,607, an increase of 1,165 from 2024
In the case of Kos, the flights are 9,964, of which 432 are new
At Mykonos airport, the scheduled flights amount to 6,474, of which 160 are new and
At Santorini airport, the total number of flights is almost at last year’s levels (10,635).
