Planned air seats for the winter season 2024/2025 in our country have increased by 16.4%, according to data from INSETE’s digital tool Airdata Tracker.
Specifically, for this winter, for 5 months, planned air seats amount to 5,659,538 (+16.4%, as mentioned above, compared to the corresponding winter season last year).
By month: an increase of 16.3% was recorded in November, compared to the same month last year and 16.5% in December. An increase of 16.7% is expected in January (over 1 million), 17.4% in February (982,904 seats) and 21.9% in March (1,236,963 seats).
From the major markets, the data shows an increase in scheduled air seats in the winter season and in particular:
From Germany an increase of 6% is recorded, from the United Kingdom 7.7%, from the USA 10.5%, from France 28%, from Italy 4% and from the Netherlands 20%. To Athens International Airport an increase of 17.3% is expected in the winter season and at Thessaloniki Airport an increase of 14.6%.
