easyJet: New Athens-Alicante route | offers for Milan and Naples

The first easyJet flight connecting Athens with the beautiful city of Alicante in Spain landed in Athens on Monday morning, March 31st. Flights from Athens International Airport to Alicante will operate twice a week, every Monday and Thursday, throughout the summer season. With unique beaches and a rich cultural heritage, Alicante offers a unique combination of relaxation and exploration for travelers.

This new connection is part of easyJet’s strategic investment in the Greek market, announced last December. In summer 2025, easyJet will offer flights from Athens to 17 destinations, including major international cities such as London, Paris, Milan, Basel, Geneva, Naples, and Lisbon, as well as popular tourist destinations such as Alicante, Palma de Mallorca, and Malaga.

Lorenzo Lagorio, easyJet’s Country Manager for Italy and Greece, commented: “With flight EJU5545 we are launching the new summer connection between Athens and Alicante, and renewing our commitment to supporting and investing in the Greek market and in particular, Athens. Athens becomes a hub airport in easyJet’s network, with 17 connections and over 1.3 million seats available in 2025, a figure that translates into a 100% increase in capacity compared to 2023.”

Ioanna Papadopoulou, Director of Communications and Marketing at Athens International Airport, said: “We are delighted with easyJet’s continued growth in Athens and with the new direct connection to the vibrant and colourful Alicante, another unique destination in Spain.

easyJet’s decision to expand its network from Athens confirms its strong confidence in our market and further strengthens our connectivity with Spain and Southern Europe. We wish you many safe and full flights, and we continue to actively support the development of our excellent airline partner to and from Athens International Airport.”

In addition, to celebrate the start of summer, easyJet is announcing a special offer on 2,000 seats on flights from Athens. Until April 3, travelers can enjoy up to 15% off flights from Athens to Milan and Naples to discover the Italian summer from April 22 to July 30.
