The sporting events in the Trikala region will be rich in the near future, aiming both to spread the sporting ideal and participation in favorite sports, as well as to stimulate tourism in the places where the events will be held.
Among other things, the following interesting sporting events have been scheduled to take place in Trikala:
Panhellenic Motocross Championship, April 12 and 13. The sporting event is scheduled to take place at the Prinos motocross track in Trikala, with the participation of athletes from Greece and abroad. In addition to participating in the important competitions, athletes, their companions, and sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to tour the area and get to know its beauties, contributing to its further tourist development.
Mountain Running Race in Koziakas “Koziakas Mountain Race 2025”, May 11. The Mountain Professionals Association “Xenios Zeus” has scheduled 3 running races of 25 kilometers, 8 kilometers, and one kilometer in the Elati – Pertouli area of ??Koziakas, on the marked trails and forest roads of the area, with the start and finish at the old Elati Town Hall. This is an area of ??exceptional beauty, which is expected to attract not only athletes, but also visitors who want to combine sports events with an interesting excursion.
Panhellenic Cycling Championships, June 26-29. The Hellenic Cycling Federation is planning the “Panhellenic Cycling Championships 2025” in the Trikala Regional Unit, specifically the Panhellenic Road Elite and Master Championships (Men – Women). The Panhellenic Championships are a particularly important event, as the country’s top athletes are competing for their participation in international events, such as the world championships and the 2028 Olympic Games. At the same time, the promotion of the regions where cycling competitions are hosted is particularly important, as our routes highlight the natural beauty and infrastructure of the regions.
RUN GREECE TRIKALA 2025, October 5. These are events planned by SEGAS and in which over 2,500 athletes are expected to participate, with the aim of increasing the number of athletes in Greece and spreading the “microbe” of sports to as many people as possible. Also, sports activity contributes to the local community and contributes to the cultivation, development, and dissemination of the athletic ideal, to the promotion of the place as well as to its cultural and tourist development.
12th Rally sprint Meteoron 2025, October 18-19. Finally, the Trikala Automobile Club is planning the Panhellenic Asphalt Championship Athletic Event, which will be held in Meteora, an area unique in the world for its history and nature.
