The promotion of new Greek destinations in the Turkish market was the focus of an event organized by the GNTO Turkey Service in Istanbul on April 9, with the presence of 160 representatives of tour operators and ticketing sales companies, journalists, and travel influencers from the country.

The event was held on the occasion of the launch of Aegean Airlines’ direct seasonal routes from Istanbul to Heraklion, Rhodes, Mykonos, and Santorini, as well as from Izmir to Thessaloniki.

The event was welcomed by the Consul General of Greece in Istanbul, Ambassador Konstantinos Koutras, while Aegean Airlines Country Manager Mirey Goldag presented the expanded connectivity between Turkey and Greece through the addition of these new flights, emphasizing that Greece is an ideal destination for all seasons and for all types of tourism.

For her part, the Head of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) Turkey Office, Maria Rachmaninoff, referred to the options offered by these Greek destinations to Turkish travelers while also highlighting the role of tourism in mutual understanding and economic development of the two peoples.

Also, during the event, two Aegean Airlines tickets were raffled off for the participants.
