A special “evening of local products” is being held on Monday, May 19, at Ioannina International Airport, where domestic and international flight passengers will have the opportunity to taste authentic delicacies of the Epirus land, as part of a festive event to welcome the summer tourist season.
The event is jointly organized by the Ioannina Prefecture Hoteliers’ Association, SAEK DELTA 360 Ioannina, and the Epirus Gastronomy Club, in collaboration with the airport administration, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The aim of the event is to highlight local products as an integral element of the region’s tourist identity.
Passengers on this year’s first charter flights from Copenhagen and Billund, Denmark, with SAS and ATLANTIC airlines on behalf of the Scandinavian tourism organization Apollo, as well as passengers on the regular Athens – Ioannina flight of Aegean, will taste creations based on the rich gastronomic tradition of Epirus, made with love by students of SAEK DELTA 360 and members of the Gastronomy Club.
The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the Hoteliers’ Association to promote Epirus products, both in the domestic and international markets, through synergies with local businesses and strengthening their presence in the hotels of the prefecture.
