Passenger traffic at Athens Airport also increased in June. Specifically, according to data from Athens International Airport, traffic (compared to the same month last year) increased by 4.6% and amounted to 3.45 million.
Both domestic and international passenger traffic increased, exceeding 2024 levels by 1.9% and 5.8% respectively.
Overall, during the first six months of the year, the airport’s traffic reached 15.07 million passengers, recording an increase of 7.6%. Passenger traffic, both domestic and international, increased by 2.2% and 9.8% respectively.
The number of flights
The number of flights at Athens International Airport during the first six months of 2025 amounted to 127,992, recording an increase of 6.8% compared to 2024. Domestic flights showed an increase of 1.1%, while international flights recorded an increase of 10.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2024.
