Fly Erbil, based at Erbil International Airport in Iraq, is resuming the regular Erbil – Athens connection from September 2, 2025.
Athens is now added to the European destinations of Fly Erbil, which is gradually expanding its presence outside the Middle East, despite regional geopolitical challenges.
The Iraqi-Kurdish airline announced this year its first connection with Athens, which was scheduled for July 15, while a second route followed on July 22, 2025.
The new routes
The flights that will start in September 2025 will have a frequency of 2 times a week.
The connection will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft, with flights operating every Tuesday and Friday, as follows:
UD411 (EBL – ATH)
Tuesday: Departure from Erbil at 19:00, arrival in Athens at 22:00
Friday: Departure from Erbil at 02:15, arrival in Athens at 05:15
UD412 (ATH – EBL)
Tuesday: Departure from Athens at 23:00, arrival in Erbil at 01:45
Friday: Departure from Athens at 06:15, arrival in Erbil at 09:00
Fly Erbil was established in 2015, with a license for scheduled passenger flights, both domestically and internationally, and its goal is to offer passengers international standards of quality and in-flight comfort.
The company aims to become the largest airline in the region, making intensive efforts for sustainable development.
So far it flies to more than 20 destinations in different countries and operates scheduled flights to the Middle East and Europe.
