The Municipality of Skiathos has entered into a new partnership, further enhancing the island’s international visibility through easyJet, one of the largest low-cost airlines in Europe. The partnership includes a €100,000 advertising campaign, in which the Municipality is participating with €50,000, with the aim of promoting Skiathos as a leading tourist destination in the cities connected to the island by air.
This is the largest investment the Municipality has made in such a partnership, as easyJet is making a significant contribution to expanding the tourist season. For 2025, the company will operate the first flight to Skiathos on April 30 and the last on November 2, covering the longest tourist season.
The partnership with easyJet began in 2020, with the aim of integrating the island into the company’s European network of destinations, with a particular emphasis on the markets of the United Kingdom, Italy and Switzerland. Today, easyJet connects Skiathos with six European cities:
United Kingdom: Manchester, Bristol, London-Gatwick
Switzerland: Basel
Italy: Milan and Naples
The majority of seats are available for individual travelers, while a significant percentage is also offered through organized holiday packages, with the total number of seats available for 2025 exceeding 96,000, an increase of 35% compared to last year.
