A constructive discussion on the actions to support businesses and the role of the chamber institution in stimulating local entrepreneurship was held by the Presidents of the Ioannina Chambers, Mr. Spyros Bekas and Heraklion Chambers, Mr. Vangelis Karkanakis.
Mr. Bekas, head of a business mission from Ioannina, visited the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce on the occasion of the presentation of the destination of Ioannina “as a four-season destination” and showed particular interest in the extroversion initiatives of businesses undertaken by the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, for the educational programs prepared by ISAEK and the Chamber’s KEK, as the support is provided by the H2B HUB.
- An extensive discussion also took place on the Heraklion-Ioannina air connection and a joint intervention was agreed upon with the relevant ministers for its inclusion in the barren subsidized routes with the aim of increasing tourism, entrepreneurship, trade transactions, and also serving local communities.
The meeting, which also included a presentation of good business practices from the two regions, was attended by Mr. Christos Tatsis, Deputy Mayor of Tourism of Ioannina and Head of Business Advisory Support of the Ioannina Chamber, Ms. Sofia Theodoraki, representative of female entrepreneurship and member of the Board of Directors of the Ioannina Chamber, businessmen of Ioannina, the Financial Supervisor of the Heraklion Chamber, Mr. Paris Tzorvas and the Head of Business Advisory Support of the Heraklion Chamber, Ms. Artemis Mavraki.
