October: Over 1.18 million flight seats to Greece

The 2025 summer season for Greek tourism is coming to an end with steady momentum, according to the latest INSETE data (source OAG). October recorded 1,184,392 scheduled flight seats to the country, a number that confirms the continuous strengthening of the season beyond the traditional summer.

At this point, it should be emphasized that, although the October figures fall short of the high performances of July and August (between 1.44 and 1.46 million seats), they remain significantly higher compared to the start of the season in March and April. This trend indicates the success of the strategic extension of the tourist season, with Greece maintaining stable demand until the end of October.

The total allocation of seats for the summer season amounts to 9.46 million, while for the competing destinations (Spain, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Cyprus, Croatia) the seats reach 31.9 million, according to OAG. Greece, despite the smaller market size, maintains a proportionally higher percentage of seats during the autumn months, which reflects the adjustment of airlines to the extended duration of tourist demand.

Always in line with the figures so far for October, these demonstrate that tourist traffic now consistently reaches the end of autumn, economically strengthening local communities and regional airports, especially in Crete, Rhodes and Corfu.
