Ryanair Ends Prime Program – Members Retain Benefits Until October 2026

On 28 November, Ryanair announced the termination of its Ryanair Prime subscription program after an eight-month trial period. No new sign-ups will be accepted from today onwards.

The program had 55,000 members, who will continue to enjoy exclusive monthly low-fare offers until October 2026, when the existing subscriptions expire.

Key points from Ryanair:

The trial generated €4.4 million in subscription revenue, while members received over €6 million in fare discounts, meaning the program cost more than it earned.

The relatively small membership base did not justify the effort required to maintain exclusive monthly offers.

Ryanair will continue focusing on its core strategy of offering the lowest fares across Europe to all customers, rather than a limited group of subscribers.

Dara Brady, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized that the trial responded to customer demand for a membership program and thanked the 55,000 members who participated.

Ryanair is projected to carry over 207 million passengers in 2025, maintaining its commitment to low fares for the broader public.
