The updated information on Greece’s overall tourism product and individual Greek destinations was the aim of the participation of the EOT UK & Ireland Service in special events organized by EasyJet and Jet2, two of the most important and dynamic British tour operators.
The EasyJet Holidays Christmas Market event took place in Luton on November 26, 2025, with the participation of 300 executives from EasyJet Holidays and EasyJet, offering the first-ever opportunity for the company’s operational departments to meet directly with key suppliers and destinations.
As part of the event, 27 partners, including top hotel chains such as Ikos, Grecotel, Hilton, and Hyatt, as well as tourism organizations from Greece, Cyprus, Tunisia, and Malta, presented their products and services at specially designed booths. Greek destinations attracted particular interest, with call center executives seeking additional information regarding the climate conditions, ferry connections, and the comparative advantages of these destinations relative to their customers’ profiles.

It is noteworthy that EasyJet is significantly expanding its operations to Greece, having increased its capacity by 14.3% in the summer of 2025 (3.1 million seats from the UK to Greece), while EasyJet Holidays strengthened its market share by 12%. Greece is the leading destination for EasyJet Holidays new Luxury Collection for 2026, with 21 hotels already available, and for the winter season of 2025-2026, EasyJet is expanding its network with three new routes from London to Thessaloniki and from Bristol and Edinburgh to Athens.
On December 4, 2025, the event Jet2 A Night with the Stars was held in Leeds, an established internal training and corporate recognition event for the Jet2 group, during which 1,000 representatives from all departments of the company had the opportunity to receive direct information about strategically important destinations.
EOT was represented by the Head of the UK & Ireland Service, Eleni Skarveli, and the Deputy Head, Angela Tzifa, while the Municipality of Skiathos also participated, further promoting the island. The EOT’s participation strengthened Greece’s institutional presence within the group and contributed significantly to targeted networking and maintaining strong cooperation with Jet2, during a particularly competitive period for Mediterranean destinations.
