No public tourist buses can remain in service after completing 27 years of operation in Greece or abroad, according to a decision of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Marine and Tourism Nikolaos Stathopoulos.
The decision was reported by GEPOET, which stands for the General Pan-Hellenic Federation of Tourism Enterprises and is the body which collectively represents Travel Enterprises in Greece.
With the sector of Travel Agencies & Tourist Coaches as its core, GEPOET also represents Shipping Agencies and Yachting Enterprises.
Improvement of Greek Tourism
The primary objectives of GEPOET are to serve and promote the interests of its Members and at the same time to take initiatives for the further improvement of Greek Tourism at international level.
The Travel Enterprises belonging to the 18 Member Associations of GEPOET – over 2.000 members – annually attract the majority of incoming tourists and represent the full range of activities such as Incoming and Outgoing tourism, Conference and Event organization, as well as ticketing.
