Russia is ready to lift restrictions on flights to Egypt as soon as flight safety for its citizens can be ensured, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a news conference.
Security, he said, must be ensured at all stages of the flight, from aircraft maintenance to arrival, takeoff and landing.
Russia suspended flights to Egypt after the crash of a “Kogalymavia” airline Airbus A321, north of Sinai peninsula near Al-Hasna village.
Since then, Russians tour operators have been forbidden to sell travel packages for Egypt.
