How the e-tourist visa works
According to the Indian government Website:
An e-tourist visa lets you travel to India without having a visa stamp on your passport. It is given once you actually land and thus saving you the trouble of sending your passport to the embassy to get a Visa beforehand. Here is how it works:
- 1. Upload the form and photo online
- 2. Pay the visa fee online
- 3. Receive the eTV via email
- 4. Show it on arrival in India
The Indian government had launched the e-tourist visa facility on November 27, 2014.
