The wreckage of EgyptAir flight MS804 and items belonging to passengers appear to have been found, Egyptian state TV reports.
According to the television reports, the Egyptian military search team found debris from the missing Airbus about 290 kilometers north of Alexandria. The Egyptian Navy is currently scanning the area in search of the aircraft’s black box, in an effort to determine what caused the plane to disappear and crash.
Given that very little is currently known on the cause of the aircraft’s disappearance, the scenario of a terrorist attack has been circulating in social media. Although this cannot be ruled out, reports of a ‘flash in the sky’ have not been confirmed from satellites monitoring the area.
