Sunday could see rains hit Cyprus and isolated thunderstorms in rural inland areas in the afternoon, reports said on Saturday.
For Saturday the temperature is expected to rise to 31 degrees C internally, while it will reach 29 degrees C on the coast, and 23 degrees C in rural mountainous areas. Heavier cloud cover is expected to be noticed in the afternoon, the meteorological service reported.
Winds in the morning, the weather service said, will be blowing south-easterly to south-westerly; while in the afternoon they will change direction from south-west to north-west.
The sea will be mildly turbulent and at times very turbulent later in the afternoon.
