Three men, 23, 25, and 35 from Liopetri and Vrysoules, Famagusta were arrested by police on Friday night after they had been found with narcotics and dry cannabis in their possession, authorities said on Saturday.
Police said that on Friday evening they investigated the home of the 23-year-old from Liopetri, after they received a court warrant.
On their arrival, the man was found by authorities in his garden smoking a cigarette, which police later determined contained approximately 0.5 grams of cannabis.
Another 57.5 grams of cannabis and a balance with traces of the illegal substance were found in the man’s home, police said.
The 25-year-old from Vrysoules and the 35-year-old from Liopetri were also present during the investigations. After a search by authorities, the 25-year-old was found to be in possession of a hand-rolled cigarette containing cannabis.
Police had found another cigarette containing cannabis in the vehicle of the 35-year-old.
The three were arrested by police for possession of narcotics.
Famagusta’s narcotics division, YKAN, are continuing investigations.
