Five people are reported to have been killed in a shooting at Florida’s Hollywood airport in Fort Lauderdale, according to US media.
NBC news has learnt that at least nine people were injured.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that multiple people have been killed in the attack. BSO officials said they received a call about the shooting around 12:55 p.m.
The shooting is reported to have occurred at the baggage claim inside Terminal 2, while aerial footage showed crowds of people gathered outside the area, NBC reported.
NBC has learnt that the assailant has been arrested.
