With a celebration of nature, tradition, and local hospitality, the cycle of actions of the Region of Crete “Let’s go for… Greens” Spring 2025 concludes this weekend, April 26 and 27, 2025. The initiative, which lasted three whole months and embraced every corner of the Prefecture of Chania, culminates with two separate events that promise experiences for all the senses.
On Saturday, April 26, in Mothiana, Kolymbari, in collaboration with the Cultural Association of Mothiana – Skafiotos “The Renaissance”, participants will walk to the old stone bridge and the historic fountain of 1882, collect herbs of the time to the Skete of Agios Leonidas and enjoy a stop with cool water and authentic hospitality in the village square.
On Thomas Sunday, April 27, the journey continues to the Kolymbari Cave, where together with the Cultural Association of Spilia “The Unity”, visitors will tour the alleys of the village, ferment and brew under the centuries-old plane trees, get to know the edible and non-edible herbs of the area, distill traditional flower water and close the day with a Cretan feast.
With free participation, Crete invites young and old to experience spring through its aromas, flavors, and images.
