The Athens Epidaurus Festival presents an original artistic video entitled Art is our Language, created to celebrate the organization’s 70th anniversary.
Against the backdrop of the five emblematic venues of the Festival (Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Piraeus 260, Small Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, Municipal Theatre of Lycabettus Hill), and with the motto “Art is our Language”, a select group of artists from Theatre, Music and Dance – who have been participating in its program in recent years – recite verses from the poem “Ode” by Arthur O’Shaughnessy, translated by Giorgos Koropoulis.
An ode to art, an ode to the Festival’s seven decades of uninterrupted presence and contribution to the country’s culture and to the future to come.
