The Rhodes Street Food Festival, the favorite gastronomic event of the summer, returns for the 9th year to Rhodes, promising an unforgettable experience of flavors, music, and entertainment! The Festival, which has been established as one of the biggest events on the island, will take place from July 12 to 20 on the most central pedestrian street in Mandraki.
Behind the success of the Festival is Stella Prouzou (photo), – an Athenian of Dodecanese origin – a resident of the island and also the creator of https://www.otoposmas.gr/ The idea was born in 2016, when Mrs. Prouzou was inspired by the thriving street food scene of Brussels, where her son, Nicolas Koulepis, an acclaimed pastry chef with two successful pastry shops, also excels.
This direct contact with success abroad, combined with the belief that “everything good is created with boldness and dreams”, led Stella Prouzou to bring the art of street food to Rhodes. She is considered the only female organizer of a street food festival in Greece, a fact that highlights not only her determination but also her ability to innovate and overcome challenges.
“It was a vision born from my love for taste and my desire to offer the place and my compatriots a new, exciting experience,” says Ms. Prouzou. “I saw in Brussels how street food can become a bridge between cultures, unite people, inspire, and create opportunities. I wanted to bring this dynamic to Rhodes and prove that Rhodes can host a street food festival worthy of abroad, while highlighting the culture of street food and international trends.”
This year, the Rhodes Street Food Festival, after 9 years of being the “Talk of the town”, is coming more enjoyable. July 12 – 20, all food lovers meet for an unforgettable “foodie experience” on the most central pedestrian street in Mandraki, enjoying the art of “street” food. The Festival promises an explosive blend of flavors with cool drinks, thrilling music from DJs and live music bands, and traditional dances from local clubs that will take the experience to the next level!
