The Benakopoulos Group is interested in acquiring a new hotel in Santorini.
According to representatives of the administration, after last April’s “AthensWas” opening in Athens, the group seeks to purchase a finished hotel complex on the famous Cycladic island and renovate it to match the hosting standards offered by its other two hotels.
Luxury Design Hotel AthensWas offers 21 suites and rooms with prices that range from 180 to 1.400 euros per night.
View of the Acropolis
It features a rooftop bar and restaurant with views of the Acropolis, the Lycabettus Hill and the mountains surrounding Athens as well as the sea on the south. It also has a modern conference room / meeting capacity of 20 people and a Fitness Corner.
The hotel is a member of Design Hotels and follows the basic principles of classic modernism.
Aesthetic distinction
The clean lines, the lean volumes and natural materials, mainly Greek marble and wood, determine the aesthetics of the rooms and public areas.
All rooms are distinguished aesthetically for dispassionate dedication to luxury, with large rooms and a terrace with Greek marbles dominant everywhere and walnut wood striking unexpected shades.
The rooms and suites’ furniture are usually described as «modern classics» combined with latest creations of international design.
Anemi Hotel on Folegandros
The Anemi Hotels Group, part of Epilogi Ktirion – K Benakopoulos SA, also operates the five-star Anemi Hotel on the Aegean island of Folegandros since 2007.
The company has been active in construction of residential and non-residential buildings for 45 years and is now expanding into tourism.
