For the sixth successive year, the educational program “Knowing and Promoting Messinia’s Nature and History” welcomes local schoolchildren to Navarino Natura Hall to acquaint them with issues relating to environmental protection and sustainability, thus laying the foundations for future collective efforts to preserve this unspoiled region.
The program, which has so far attracted 3,709 participants from local schools, comprises interactive educational activities, experiments, excursions to experience the region’s flora, fauna and rich marine environment at first hand, as well as information about climate change.
