The Marriott International is getting ready to open the doors of “Academia of Athens Hotel, Marriott Autograph Collection”, located on the corner of Akadimias and Omirou Street, in central Athens, greekcitytimes.com reports.

The new hotel, which is set to welcome guests as of April, will be the Marriot’s third edition in Greece under the Autograph Collection brand, along with the Domes of Elounda and Domes Noruz Chania on Crete island.

“Inspired by ancient Athenian wisdom and intellect, Academia of Athens is a luxurious city hotel, portraying a contemporary interpretation of Plato’s Academy blending the old and the new, which awakens all the senses, while combining bespoke facilities, with impeccable service and unique experiences,” notes management.

With 60 modern and stylish rooms in the heart of Athens’ classy shopping district, the new hotel features contemporary architecture and exquisite interior design.

It is also within walking distance from the Acropolis and all of the Greek capital’s historic monuments.

Guests will be able to enjoy an array of convenient amenities including an indoor pool, plus Plato Bar & Lounge, and a chic rooftop restaurant and garden bar overlooking the Acropolis.
