Accor has signed an agreement for the M?venpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota hotel, marking the debut of the renowned brand in Greece.
The new resort, which will open in spring 2025, will be managed by Pitoulis S.A., one of the leading hotel operators in Greece. Set against the unique natural beauty of Epirus, the resort will feature 67 comfortable rooms, as well as deluxe and executive suites with private pools and courtyards.
The hotel will also offer a rich culinary experience, with options such as Skipper’s Beach Bar, the poolside Island’s Bar, and the Thalassa restaurant, which will serve Greek and Mediterranean flavors based on local ingredients. In addition, guests of the new resort will have access to two swimming pools with sea views, as well as pools for families and exclusively for adults.

At the recent ceremony for the signing of the agreement in Greece, Patrick Mendes, CEO, of Premium, Midscale & Economy, Accor Europe & North Africa, said: “The signing of the first M?venpick in Greece marks an important milestone in our ambition to expand within this dynamic and culturally rich country. It is also a testament to our commitment to bring our premium brands to more destinations in the region and beyond. M?venpick is internationally recognized for its culinary excellence and M?venpick Resort Agios Nikolaos Sivota will fully embody the brand’s philosophy.”
Vasilis Pitoulis, co-founder of Pitoulis S.A., said:
“The vision of the Pitoulis family (Sergios, Vasilis, Avgoustinos, Benedetta) laid the foundations for what would become a landmark in Sivota. Years ago, their entrepreneurial drive led to the acquisition of the first plot of land, paving the way for a legacy based on education, ambition and business acumen. In 1996, this legacy culminated in the creation of the first 40 rooms of the Agios Nikolaos Hotel – a pioneering establishment that set the standard in the Epirus region for almost three decades.
Today, starting a new chapter under the M?venpick brand, the hotel is ready to push the boundaries and bring international recognition to the stunning Epirus region. The partnership with Accor is a milestone as it is the first international partnership in the region, ensuring our hotel is recognized worldwide while honoring its heritage,” he said.

Founded in 1948, M?venpick pioneered the Swiss restaurant scene and has grown into an international hotel brand with innovative gastronomy at the core of its hospitality. Today, this creative hospitality continues in each of the 120+ M?venpick hotels worldwide, where gastronomy acts as the cornerstone to foster meaningful human connections and drive positive change.
