Aiming at the continuous professional development of its members and the upgrading of tourism services, the Pancretan Association of Hotel Managers (PAHMO) continues its educational initiatives dynamically. In collaboration with leading academic and professional institutions, it offers high-level training programs for another year, focusing on modern trends in the hotel industry.
Education 2025: Innovation and Specialization
The educational program for 2025 focuses on key and topical subjects, incorporating the latest developments in the industry. Important thematic modules included:
“Artificial Intelligence in the Hotel Industry”
“Revenue Management”
“Leadership, Leadership and Team Building” under the guidance of Professor D. Bouranta
“Practical issues of electronic sales” by the company Reload
“Adaptation of hotel businesses to sustainability, safety, hygiene and legislation”, through a specially designed workshop
In parallel, a two-day seminar entitled “Program for the improvement & development of individual and team effectiveness – Leaders’ Workshop” was held, aiming to strengthen the managers of hotel units in Crete and further strengthen the executive potential.
Strategic synergies for comprehensive training
The success of the program is based on the cooperation of the PSDX with renowned institutions, such as the Mediterranean University, the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, the Heraklion Hoteliers Association and the IST Studies educational institution. These synergies ensure the bridging of theoretical knowledge with practical application, providing participants with high-standard training.
Continuing education as a catalyst for growth
The training of hotel managers is a strategic priority for the PSDX, with benefits that go beyond the boundaries of the businesses themselves. As managers manage and guide numerous executives, the improvement of their skills translates into higher quality hospitality services and enhanced competitiveness of Crete as a tourist destination.
As Aristotle characteristically said, “Excellence is not an act, but a habit.” In the hotel industry, continuing education is the foundation of progress, ensuring the evolution of the sector and maintaining Crete at the top of the international tourism map.
