Andreas Andreadis: Ikos Kissamos opens in April 2026

With a post on social networks, Andreas Andreadis, CEO of Sani/Ikos Group and honorary president of SETE, announced that the new luxury resort Ikos Kissamos in Crete will open its gates in April 2026. This is the largest hotel investment ever made on the island, according to him.

As Mr. Andreadis notes, more than 1,000 people are currently working on the construction of the project, which is progressing at a rapid pace. The complex will be developed on a 600-meter beachfront and will include 414 rooms, suites, and bungalows, with a total capacity of 1,280 beds. “With the support of all local authorities and society, we are implementing a landmark project for the tourism development of western Crete,” Andreadis says.

Mammoth investment in Kissamos

The five-star hotel complex is being developed on a total area of ??over 200,000 sq m. in the areas of “Kambos – Livadia” and “Agios Antonios Kallergiani”, in the Municipality of Kissamos. This investment includes:

  • Deluxe and standard rooms
  • Beach facilities with restaurants, a gym
  • Spa and theater
  • Sports infrastructure
  • Support areas and parking.

In the meantime, the unit will have 5,830 sq m. swimming pools, with a total capacity of 7,600 m3 of water. Also planned are:

  • Water supply, sewage, and road networks
  • Connection with the existing infrastructure of the Municipality of Kissamos
  • Regeneration of spaces and bridges for better access
  • Extensive plantings and green routes

With its completion, Ikos Kissamos is expected to change the tourist map of western Crete by raising the bar of luxury tourism on the western side.
