Extended-stay hotels outperform vacation rentals and condos in comfort, value, and hominess, with 79% of Americans reporting that they provide a home away from home feel and 82% saying they feel more at home than other forms of rental housing.
This is according to a survey conducted by Wakefield Research on behalf of the U.S. extended-stay brand, Extended Stay America®.
According to the findings, respondents preferred extended-stay hotels over other accommodation options due to amenities (34%), comfort and intimacy (33%), and personalization (30%).
At the same time, 43% consider these hotels to be more affordable, believing that they offer better value than rentals or apartments.
89% in fact agree that extended-stay hotels satisfy a vital need for people in transition, while 66% agree that they are a temporary replacement for home, mainly during periods of renovation, moving, or financial difficulty.
