The Greek, family-run luxury hotel chain Mar-Bella Collection has inaugurated its new hotel under the name Avali in Agios Ioannis Peristeron, in southeastern Corfu. The property is located less than 600 meters from the chain’s existing hotels, MarBella and Nido. Its operation follows the complete reconstruction of a pre-existing hotel, which has 76 rooms and suites.
The name Avali comes from the local dialect of Corfu and means “small bay”. The hotel is located among lush hills and a 300-meter-long beach with pebbles and sand, while it is surrounded by three acres of gardens. The common areas include a large infinity pool and a beach bar. The hospitality is aimed at couples, groups, individual travelers and families with children over six years old.
The hotel’s central restaurant, Zardini, serves a buffet breakfast and a Mediterranean and Asian menu for lunch and dinner. The Sti? Grill Restaurant, with its emphasis on grilled dishes, will be added in 2026, as well as a mobile light catering unit by the pool. Guests can also use the Lobby Bar and the Cicada Pool Bar, which organize occasional events such as live music, open-air cinema and BBQ nights.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor fitness areas, an open-air spa pavilion for beach treatments and a water sports center with SUP, canoe and kayak equipment. Guests also have access to the facilities of the neighboring MarBella and Nido, as well as nearby tavernas.
Avali operates exclusively with the Premium All-Inclusive model and is part of the chain’s “Dine Around” program, which allows meals at all three Mar-Bella hotels in Corfu.
The Mar-Bella Collection, with a history spanning three generations, has a total of four hotels: Avali, MarBella, Nido in Corfu and Elix in mainland Greece. Each unit targets different groups of guests, from families and couples to travelers seeking a quieter or more active vacation.
