The new board of directors of the Crete Hoteliers Association, headed by President Manolis Stamatakis, visited the Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis, today, Wednesday.
The meeting took stock of the outgoing tourist season, which has a positive sign, while the management of the hoteliers informed the Governor of Crete about the goals of the new tourist season, the promotion of the island abroad with the substantial assistance of the Region. In fact, the president of the association delivered to the Governor of Crete an analytical memorandum with the sector’s requests regarding the improvement of infrastructure and specifically the operation of existing airports, health, the national and provincial road network, the new VOAK, the ports, the problem of water scarcity and proposals for addressing it, various financial issues, etc.
The Governor of Crete, Stavros Arnaoutakis, thanked the new administration of the Crete Hoteliers Association for the visit and information and wished them success in the important work they are doing in the development of the place and the jobs they are securing by complying with the applicable legislation for the protection of workers’ labor rights.
For his part, the President, Mr. Stamatakis, thanked Stavros Arnaoutakis for the steady support and cooperation of the Region of Crete for the continuous development of the island’s tourism product.
Also participating in the meeting were: Nikos Chalkiadakis, 1st Vice President, Manolis Tsakalakis, 2nd Vice President, Kyriakos Papadakis, general secretary, Nikos Koumnas, treasurer, Michalis Christoforakis, member of the administration, Kostas Papadakis, public relations officer, and Nikos Fountoulakis, director of the association.
