Ryanair welcomes the decision of the Alicante Courts to convict a passenger who on June 4, 2025 caused an incident on a company flight from Ibiza to Alicante by physically assaulting a crew member.
The Court found the defendant guilty and fined him 270 euros.
The airline underlines that its aim is for all passengers and crew to travel in a comfortable and relaxed environment, without unnecessary tensions caused by a small percentage of unruly passengers.
The company emphasises that it has zero tolerance for passengers with inappropriate behaviour and that it will continue to take measures to combat the behaviour of unruly passengers on its aircraft for the benefit of the majority of passengers who do not cause problems on flights.
“We welcome the decision of the Alicante Court to convict this unruly passenger whose unreasonable behaviour disrupted the flight,” said Ryanair’s Communications Director, Jade Kirwan. “This case shows just one of the consequences faced by passengers who disrupt flights as part of the airline’s zero tolerance policy,” she said, adding: “We hope this will act as a deterrent to such behaviour, so that passengers and crew can travel in an environment of comfort and mutual respect.”
