The National Sports Federation of Persons with Disabilities announced an open electronic competition below the thresholds for the provision of hotel accommodation services in Thessaloniki for participants in the European Men’s Goalball B’ Category 2026 event with an estimated value of 80,558.41 euros excluding VAT.
In detail, the subject of the contract is the provision of accommodation services in a 5-star hotel within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and neighboring Municipalities, in the context of the European Men’s Goalball B’ Category 2026 Championship, which is to be held in the city of Thessaloniki, during the period from 28 June to 6 July 2026.
This event is held every two years and includes the participation of 10 national teams. Thessaloniki has historically been associated with the development of the sport of goalball in the country, having functioned as a focal point for its development and promotion both nationally and internationally, especially in the field of para-sports and the inclusion of people with visual impairments.
Within the framework of the contract, the Contractor is obliged to provide 70 rooms for the period from 28.6.2026 to 6.7.2026. It will also provide 10 rooms for an additional 2 nights, for the dates 27.6.2026 and 6.7.2026. The Contractor’s obligations include the provision of meals, specifically breakfast and dinner, for all participants (athletes and companions), in a separate, exclusively available room of the hotel, which must be fully accessible and appropriately designed for people with disabilities.
At the same time, free, automatic and uninterrupted internet access (Wi-Fi) will be provided for all participants and free use of covered parking spaces. In the context of the services under contract, it is also planned to provide 2 rooms, and in particular a meeting room, suitable for holding a technical meeting, with a capacity of up to 40 people, for June 29, 2026 and a room with an area greater than or equal to 30 sq.m., suitably configured to serve the needs of the Organizing Committee and the competition staff, for the entire duration of the event, from June 27 to July 6, 2026.
The procedure will be carried out through the platform of the National System of Electronic Public Procurement. The deadline for submitting bids has been set at 15:00 on October 15th and the electronic opening date is 15:00 on October 21st.
