Europe was the only region in the world to show an increase in hotel construction and overall construction activity at the end of the third quarter, according to data from CoStar. The CoStar Group is a leading provider of online real estate markets, information and analytics in real estate.

Europe
Under construction: 171,589 rooms (+5.2%, compared to the same period in 2024)
The United Kingdom leads Europe in total number of rooms under construction (24,540), followed by Germany (22,622).
Asia-Pacific
Under construction: 492,663 rooms (-3.2%)
Among the countries in the region, China (280,577) leads in construction activity, followed by India (41,711) and Vietnam (39,078).
Middle East & Africa
Under construction: 99,895 rooms (-9.4%)
Most of the pipeline construction activity in the region is concentrated in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia (44,771) and the United Arab Emirates (14,685) have the most rooms in the construction sector.
Americas
Under construction: 190,842 rooms (-8.8%)
The US (138,922) holds the top spot in hotel rooms. This is followed by Mexico (14,290), Canada (8,988) and Brazil (5,481).
