Four Greek hotels won top European distinctions at the Historic Hotels of Europe Awards 2025, standing out among the travel public as unique for their historical background and quality of hospitality.
The awards were presented on November 10 at a ceremony held at the Schloss Frankenberg hotel in Germany and the winners were selected through voting by thousands of travelers and people who love culture and history.
Greece’s presence at the awards was particularly noticeable with 4 awards. Specifically, the Palazzo Santa Maria Hotel in Ermoupoli, Syros, won the Gold Award in the HISTORIC “A STORY TO SHARE” HOTEL AWARD 2025 category.
The Kyrimai Hotel in Gerolimenas won the Gold Award as the best ambassador of HISTORIC HOTELS OF EUROPE, while the Silver Award in the same category was awarded to the Allegory Boutique Hotel in Rhodes.
Also, the Silver Award in the HISTORIC HOTEL CITY AWARD 2025 category was awarded to the Capsis Bristol Boutique Hotel in Thessaloniki.
The Historic Hotels of Europe Awards 2025 are awarded in recognition of hotels that incorporate unique elements of cultural heritage and offer exceptional guest experiences, and this year the vote highlighted the best in 10 different categories.
Now in their 11th year, the awards honor hotels that keep the stories of Europe alive, places where history is not only preserved, but experienced through exceptional hospitality, artistry and care.
