Greece’s Ministry of Environment and Energy has issued a decision approving the environmental terms for the creation of a hydroplane port in Thessaloniki.
Aside from Thessaloniki, environmental licenses have been approved for creating hydroplane airports in Agia Marina in Grammatiko, Alonnisos, Volos, Paxos, Patmos, Patra, Rethymno, Skopelos, Skyros and Tinos.
According to the Ministry additional licenses for hydroplane airports in Amfilochia, Iraklio and Lavrio are expected in the near future. The hydroplane airport in Kerkyra, the Ministry added, is fully licensed.
