Greek minister discusses alternative energy projects with Dukakis

Energy and Environment Minister Panos Skourletis met on Friday with Michael Dukakis, the Democratic candidate for the US presidential elections of 1988, to discuss political and economic developments in the United States and Europe.  

They also talked about the new fields opening in the United States by the developments of energy projects at a local level, so as to focus accurately on the energy needs of specific regions.

Skourletis briefed his guest on the relevant priorities of his ministry to that direction, especially concerning Greek islands, where the creation of hybrid units and other systems could replace the expensive and environmentally damaging oil-fuelled power plants.
