23 more regional airports and 10 port organizations to be privatized in Greece

President of Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund TAIPED Stergios Pitsiorlas revealed that by early October a plan will be implemented for the privatization of an additional 23 Greek regional airports as well as 10 port organizations.

Mr. Pitsiorlas who attended a meeting organized by the Port of Patras Agency Board argued that “the fact that a public utility goes to the Greek Superfund does not mean that it is going to be privatized. It simply goes there to operate better to be managed and developed better, free from the tight corset of the public sector.

He added that by the end of January the first 14 regional airports will be delivered to Fraport and the fate of the other 23 will be decided.
