Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura will join Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and other members of the Greek government at the annual Capital Link Invest in Greece Forum taking place in New York next Monday.
She will be the keynote speaker during the last panel discussion of the forum on “Investment Opportunities in Tourism & Hospitality”.
The minister will seek to present Greece’s new tourism environment and opportunities for investment in the dynamically growing Greek tourism sector to an audience made up primarily of business people and investors. She has also arranged to have a series of meetings with groups of investors on the sidelines.
Kountoura aims to have targeted meetings for increasing tourist flows from the United States to Greece in 2017 and 2018, promoting new opportunities and cooperation of theme tourist products. They include meetings with tour operators, film industry executives and U.S. universities, while she will also discuss joint Greece-Israel tourist packages for the U.S. market.
Kountoura’s next stop is in Toronto, where she will speak at an event promoting Greece as a tourism destination, organised by the Greek consulate.
