My market, a Greek supermarket chain, on Tuesday announced a strategic partnership agreement with welovesupermarket.gr, an online supermarket company.
Welovesupermarket.gr is the first e-supermarket store to be created in June 2013, offering full order and delivery services from a range of 10,000 product codes.
Metro AEBE, in an announcement, said “this is a business partnership characterized by equity relation and aims to exchange the best operating practices and service provisions between the two companies which will maintain their autonomy. It is also a first, significantly, step taken by Metro in e-commerce”.
“Metro plans to strategically invest in this new effort in the long-term, exploiting all possible prospects for the future expansion of partnership,” the announcement said.
