Five consortiums express interest in Larnaca port project in Cyprus

Five consortiums have expressed their interest in taking on the Larnaca port and marina project, CNA reported on Tuesday.

The expression of interest process was closed on Monday.

The next steps are for the technical staff of the government to begin reviewing the project proposals and evaluate the financial and technical criteria, which have been presented.

The evaluation process is expected to be completed by the end of April, when a preliminary decision will be made on the interested parties.

After a decision is made, the pre-selected interested parties will be invited to submit a proposal and plan.  The proposals are expected to be submitted in the fall of 2017, when the contract will be signed with the company that is selected to run the project.
