Hellenic Post begins operations in electricity energy market in Greece

Hellenic Post on Monday officially launched activities in the electricity energy market offering exremely low prices to consumers.

In a symbolic gesture, Efrosini Stavraki, chairman of Hellenic Post, Ioannis Zaroliagis, CEO, and Giorgos Vasilopoulos, president of the workers’ union, signed the first customer contracts, along with all regional managers. Hellenic Post aims to become the number one alternative electricity energy supplier in the country, taking advantage of its branch network around the country.

Hellenic Post charges 0.0860 euros/KWh for energy consumption up to 2,000 KWh per a four-month period and charges 0.0850 euros/KWh for higher consumptions, a price 18 pct cheaper than PPC and the lowest in the market.

Hellenic Post also offers a 10 pct discount on consistent customers. For commercial customers (offices, small shops) the company charges 0.0910 euros/KWh, 10.5 pct cheaper than PPC, while for larger companies it charges 0.0750 euros/KWh, 9.2 pct cheaper than PPC.
